Travel East Iceland Best Tour Group Ever Used

We had a four day tour of East Iceland. Travel East Iceland is the best tour company we have ever used in our travels worldwide, both from in terms of the planning (including daily scheduling, accommodations–which were all wonderful–and transportation–which was superb–all of which were carefully thought out and executed) and the guide herself (whose characteristics are described below). We were the recipients of a seamless and professional operation that thought of and planned for all contingencies. The company is super-competent and the employees exemplary.

I booked Travel East for a group visit of 2 days in Eastern Iceland with some architecture students. We had our own ideas about places to visit and special tours and tons of questions and individual requests. Sandra from Travel East was great in both scheduling this visit and suggesting places to go. She went out of her way to see that everything happened as we had wished and was very responsive even to our frequent questions. She was proactive in making sure we had everything we needed.

We were more than happy with the visit and can’t emphasize enough how wonderful it was to receive this special treatment. The trip itself was very impressive, gave us many insights and we had a lot of fun as well.

Guided hike in NE Iceland

Skuli Juliusson, of Travel East, led my husband and me on a guided hike in NE Iceland and it was magical! The magic was part the scenery and part the poise, skill and chemistry we enjoyed with this fine Icelandic gentleman. In fact, we both feel our hike was the single best experience of our 10 days in Iceland, on the Ring Road! We hiked 8 to 9 miles plus spent several hours in the car, so a lot of time together. But, Skuli made the time fly. We can’t say enough good things about the day! Skuli is just superb! Thank you!
